Nestled at the southern tip of the sea garden, Primorski stands out as the finest outdoor swimming pool I’ve ever experienced, with a close second being a pool in Vancouver, Canada. What sets Primorski apart is the pristine quality of its water. To my knowledge, they steer clear of chemicals, sourcing their water from a natural hot spring. This unique feature allows swimmers to enjoy the pool throughout the year, regardless of the season.
For those keen on lane swimming, the pool welcomes you during three slots: 7-8am, 12-1pm, and 8-9pm, with extended hours over the weekend. At other times, it serves as a training hub for various swimming clubs and associations. With an affordable entry fee of 4 leva, it’s an ideal spot for some invigorating laps. However, a tip for enthusiasts: ensure you’re there a good 5-10 minutes before your slot, as the actual swimming window is 45 minutes. This means you’ll need to wrap up and exit 15 minutes before the hour ends. For instance, if you’re aiming for the 7am slot, be there by 6:50am and swim between 7:00am and 7:45am.
The facility boasts a locker room, changing area, and showers. Remember, swimming caps, flip-flops, and goggles are essential. While the changing area offers rejuvenating indoor mineral water showers, I personally prefer the outdoor ones, unless the weather gets too chilly.
