Banitsa at Wild Flour Bakery aka Divoto Brashno

This morning, we headed to Divoto Brashno in Varna. They have two spots in town, and we chose the one at Chataldzha market, saving the Sportna Zala location for another day.

The Chataldzha branch is spacious, offering both indoor and outdoor seating options. My wife and I went for the ‘perla’ – a straightforward mix of egg, ham, and cheese, baked just right. I’d also recommend their blue cheese and spinach banitsas. They’re top-notch and some of the best I’ve had in the city.

I paired my meal with their organic kefir, choosing from a couple of available brands. The one I had was tangy and refreshing.

For those who might not know, banitsa is a traditional Bulgarian pastry. It’s affordable and a common choice for a mid-morning snack. If you’re in Varna and looking for a solid place to try it, Divoto Brashno is a good bet.
