Charming Sovopol

Our recent two-day venture into the enchanting Sovopol was a delightful experience. We immersed ourselves in the allure of the old town, nearby beaches, an archaeological museum, charming churches, and a selection of local restaurants.

Taking a stroll through the old town unveiled a picturesque scene, with meticulously restored wooden and rock homes dotting the landscape. We discovered a local artist at the Art Gallery “Fire Graphics,” crafting unique souvenirs by intricately burning graphics onto local wood planks. It’s a worthwhile stop, offering the chance to acquire a locally crafted memento.

A visit to the Sozopol Archaeological Museum proved to be a fascinating journey through time, showcasing artifacts spanning from the 6th millennium BC to more recent works. The well-maintained and organized museum captivated us for about two hours, making it a highly recommended stop.

In the images below, you’ll find glimpses of Mehana Sozopol, Oasis Bistro Sozopol, various churches, and the mesmerizing full moon. I’d suggest allocating at least a full day to truly immerse yourself in the wonders of Sovopol, but ideally, set aside two days for a more comprehensive exploration.
