Dairy store Elenski Balkan – Farm direct dairy
When I crave authentic dairy delights in Varna, my compass points straight to Elenski Balkan, nestled in the heart of the Chatalja neighbourhood. (Rumor has it they’ve sprinkled their magic in other parts of the city too!)
Step inside, and you’re greeted with a dairy wonderland: velvety yogurts, crumbly feta, rich kashkaval, and even some tantalizing dried meats like the famed lukanka. This time around, I couldn’t resist their creamy butter, priced at a steal of 18 leva per kilogram. Trust me, it’s a buttery dream come true!
I also snagged two containers of robust buffalo yogurt and a batch of 20 farm-fresh eggs (quirkily packed in a plastic bag).
What sets Elenski Balkan apart? Every product is a labor of love, sourced directly from their very own farm. Their no-frills, genuine service is the cherry on top, ensuring I’m always back, be it for that irresistible feta, buttery delights, or those unique eggs in a bag.
