Rediscovering Albena: A Paradise for All Ages!

Today, we embarked on an journey from Varna’s Chaika district to the enchanting shores of Albena! My cousin, along with her delightful family, had flown in from the bustling city of London, England.

Navigating a breezy 25km stretch, I cruised past the Golden Sands, meandered through the quaint village of Kranevo, and finally arrived at the gates of Albena. The drive itself was a treat, with the road unveiling scenic landscapes at every turn. And guess what? Albena, being an exclusive resort, has an entry fee of just 10 leva, which conveniently covers your parking for the day. Pro tip: Skip the premium parking for 20 leva; the resort is lush and green, making every step of your walk truly refreshing.

Our rendezvous point? The hotel lobby where my cousin and her bubbly daughter awaited. With the sun shining bright at 10:30am, we made a beeline for the pristine beach, securing our spots under a cozy umbrella, flanked by comfy beach chairs. The coastline of Albena is nothing short of mesmerizing – imagine a vast stretch of sand, gentle waves caressing the shore, and the water deepening gradually, ensuring a safe haven for swimmers.

Albena is a paradise for families! Whether you’re planning a day’s outing or an extended vacation, the resort promises endless fun. From a captivating dinosaur-themed amusement park and a thrilling aqua park to a plethora of games and activities, kids are in for a treat.

Our day was filled with laughter, splashes, and cherished memories.

It’s hard to believe that a decade had passed since my last visit to Albena. But one thing’s for sure – this gem of a place has earned a permanent spot on my go-to list, especially when young ones are around or when we crave a refreshing break from Varna’s usual hustle.
